The Family Dinner and Reception were just a lot of fun! After the Ring Ceremony, family members were invited to the dinner. The formal part of the day was done and now it was time to relax and have a good time.
Sitting at the head table.
They chose a Hawaiin Haystack meal.
These gals took care of the guest book - which was actually a calendar where the guests wrote their greetings on their birthdate.

Uncles Brent and Kevin were
in charge of Security. lol |

Uncle David was the
Master of Ceremonies. |
The bride insisted on glass cups and real utensils so there could be lots of clinking on the glasses. She said, "I want to kiss!!!" She had the MC announce that glass clinking is allowed and encouraged!
So they got to give lots of kisses!

We played a game during dinner: Bride & Groom Trivia
There were four possible answers for each question: Richelle, Logan, Both, Neither
1) Who was born in M?
2) Who ran around naked outside?
3) Who has had a broken bone?
4) Who has taken martial arts classes?
5) Who's favourite food is pizza?
6) Who can burp on demand?
7) Who was named All-Star in sports?
8) Who played in a drumline?
9) Who is the second oldest in their family?
10) Who's never had a filling?
11) Who can wiggle their ears?
12) Who graduated from LC?
We had lots of laughs while discussing the answers! And it was fun for everyone to get to know the bride a groom a little better. The answers are:
1) Logan
2) Both (as children)
3) Logan - his arm in preschool
4) Richelle (Logan studied pottery!)
5) Both (Hawaiin and Meat Lovers)
6) Both - Chelle tried to do it but her dress was too snug!
7) Both (Logan in Football, Chelle in Softball)
8) Richelle (Logan played the trumpet)
9) Neither (Logan 3rd, Richelle 1st)
10) Richelle
11) Logan (Chelle can wiggle her eyes)
12) Both (Logan in Criminal Justice, Chelle in Office Admin.)
After dessert, we had a toast from the Father of the Bride and a Response from the Groom.
We had about half an hour to clean up from the Family Dinner and prepare for the Reception. The dinner crew moved out and the reception crew moved in. A little more time would have been nice for the transition - remember that for next time! lol Young Women came and helped us too.
The food was all set up on the long table against the back wall on lovely platters and stands that we'd made (but had no time to take pictures here!)
We had three different drink dispensers for drinks in the three wedding colours - limeade, blueberry koolaid and water with lemon slices. The food, platters of veggies, meat, cheese and tons of squares, were all on the other end of the table. Looked very pretty!
